Duved – Skiing Paradise
In Duved everyone, big and small, can find their favorite spots. The beautiful and scenic slopes has something to offer both absolute beginners and carving pros. Lift pass and ski buss services as in Åre village.
Alpine skiing
At the foot of the mountain, within a short walking distance from Fjällporten you have the new Duved Six Chairlift. And at the lift also a ski rental, a ski school and a café. The chair lift takes you right up to the top of the Mulfjäll mountain within minutes. From the top you have at least 10 slopes to choose from and beyond that the entire mountain range is whithin your reach.
The Lerå ski lift is only 80 m (262 feet) away from Fjällporten. By this you reach further to the lift system on the Tegefjäll mountain, with some 10 runs of great variety.
And then there are of course the runs and lift system of Åre itself. Your ski pass also gives you unlimited access to the ski-bus service operating between Duved and Åre.
Åre/Duved is a skiing paradise without comparison in Sweden.
Cross country skiing
The Duved area has a system of groomed trails for cross-country skiing, in all 30 kilometers (18.6 miles). And for skiing in the dark some 2,5/5 kilometers (1.5/3.1 miles) of trail have electrical lighting.
Ski hiking
The first hiking trail markings (poles with red cross) are just 1000 feet from Fjällporten. Wax your skis and fill you rucksack with chocolate bars, oranges and reindeer-meat sandwiches and you are well prepared to spend a couple of hours on the mountains of Jamtland.
